Walmart expands drone delivery program to six states to compete with Amazon

Walmart is expanding its drone delivery service to six states. The retail giant plans to complete 1 million drone deliveries by the end of the year. Walmart’s drone service will be available from 34 participating stores and sites in Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Texas, Utah and Virginia. Top-selling item at one location was Hamburger Helper, says chief product officer Bob Guggina. Walmart also announced a deeper rollout and ramp-up of its robotic warehouse automation efforts with Symbiotic.
