From December 2018 to September 2019, Epic paid $11.6 million for 38 free games, paying $2.37 for each user it signed up for. Tim Sweeney, CEO of Epic, previously revealed that the company pays an upfront fee to developers who develop through the Epic developer program. The figures were previously made public during Epic’s legal battle with Apple.
