120,000 taxpayers’ confidential information was accidentally exposed by the IRS

Around 120,000 taxpayers who filed Form 99090-T inadvertently exposed their personal and financial data on the IRS website. The agency said the issue stemmed from a human error. Affected taxpayers’ Social Security numbers, income details, and other information were made public.
